BetStop - the National Self-Exclusion Register™ is a free and secure way to exclude yourself from all online and phone wagering providers licensed in Australia in one go. You can find a list of providers covered opens in a new tab on the Australian Communications and Media Authority’s (ACMA) website.
You can register for a minimum of 3 months, up to a lifetime.
Once you have registered, online and phone wagering providers should not:
- let you open a betting account
- let you place a bet
- send you direct marketing, such as emails.
If you have any wagering accounts, providers will need to close them and refund any credit.

How does BetStop - the National Self-Exclusion Register work?
If you register, your name is added to our register. To identify whether customers are self-excluded, wagering providers are able to check their customer details against the register.
If the customer details match our records, we advise that wagering provider that the customer is self-excluded.
Who is using the register?
Many people from around Australia have registered for short-term, long-term or lifetime self-exclusion.
We never release personal information about individuals on the register or their support people, however you can find aggregated statistics on the ACMA website. The ACMA has also prepared a fact sheet opens in a new tab covering the first year of operation for the register.

IXUP Limited (ABN 85 612 182 368) operates BetStop - the National Self-Exclusion Register on behalf of the ACMA.
